We’re four weeks into summer, and I’m just now having my first summer smoothie. Usually, around this time of year, my fridge would be filled with all types of smoothie-making concoctions, but these days I’m too busy to breathe, much less pick up a blender. The only reason this Creamy Blackberry Breakfast Smoothie came into being was that I was too tired to make breakfast, so I threw together the easiest things I could find. I just never knew it would come to this.
One tall jar of this filled me up for the entire morning, but it’s the fact that it tastes so good that I can’t get over. In fact, It’s because it’s so delicious that I’m even posting it on the blog. I had long ago to decided to post my smoothie recipes on Instagram instead because I believed they were too simple for blog life, but this treat deserves its debut here in blog nation.
It’s the creamiest smoothie I’ve ever had, which is probably thanks to the Pascual yogurt I added. Also, those blackberries I picked from my backyard, provided the perfect flavor for such a simple meal. And no, I can’t call it a snack, because nothing that can fill up this stomach for a few hours can ever be considered a mere snack. Let’s make it together: –
Creamy Blackberry Breakfast Smoothie
- 2 small tubs of Pascual Creamy Strawberry Yogurt
- 2 ripe bananas
- a handful of fresh blackberries
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1/3 cup milk
- In a blender, add all ingredients except the chia seeds and blend until smooth.
- Pour this creamy delight into a glass, mix in your chia seeds and enjoy.
